May 6th, 2010 4 comments

Today we bring you a remix by video DJ and Crooklyn Clan remixer, Dj 2nd Nature.  He was there when mashups first became popular and as you’ll see in our interview tomorrow, he’ll be around for many years to come.  2nd Nature’s resume is HUGE and we can all learn something from his years of experience.

To prepare for tomorrow’s interview we thought we’d bring you some new heat from 2nd Nature.  This is a remix of the song “Steal Away” by Robbie Dupree.

You can DL the VIDEO and AUDIO to this one!

Definitly agreed, I was surprised when seeing the video, just how much great rock remixes he did. I was always familiar with his funkymix megamix medleys, and never really searched for his rock stuff till recently…still one of the greats of our time!

I agree with the first sentence of each comment! He definitely made this song better, which is really what he’s done with every other song he’s touched. His CrooklynClan.net remixes are MUST HAVES!

2nd Nature is the man, I first found him through the Pioneer DJ forums, he’s quite an impressive act. A huge resume and a great ear (or eye) for digging to find the right song or video clip.

what more can be said, 2nd nature is the man! this remix with its electro edge breathes in new life to a 1980 slow loungy more or less sleepy radio hit. Its very uptempo compared to the original and definitly can be played in a DJ set at a club, I like it a lot, and never was a fan of the original really, but 2nd nature, I have to say made me like it! And the video, compare it to the original, and its like night and day, because of the tight edits. Matter of fact the chroma key effects in the backround, all the colored lines and such also bring in new life and refresh the video. Those effects should of been there in the original 80s video, since around that time MTV videos used stuff like that.

Ive been familiar with 2nd natures work since around 99′, when i would buy the funkymix volumes, and I especially looked foward to his 1990s throwback mini mixes and medleys…once again great job from 2nd nature, a true professional!
