Your Love (Virtual Groove Mix) (Short Edit) – Virtual Groove did an amazing remix of this track! I just re-arranged it and edited it down to get to the hook faster, shorten the breakdown, ect.
Real Love (Primetime Edit) – I love this track and tried to keep the integrity of the original, but there was a few things I felt like could be changed to benefit playing it live. The guitars are now quantized and moved to the front so I can loop or scratch them in when mixing. I added a very little amount of tasteful hype when the beat drops. I re-arranged the track so it gets to Biggie’s verse quickly, which is where I usually mix out.
Devotion (Short Edit) – I thought this track was dope when I first heard it, but felt like it needed a little more energy. I just layered the horns over other sections of the track to have it hit harder. It’s pretty much instrumental, so it’s fun to throw an acapella loop over it. And it sounds damn good with Calabria.
U Don’t Know (Party Break) – I always felt like the instrumental gets people hyped when I drop it (at least on the East Coast it does), but unless it’s a hardcore hip hop crowd, I lose the floor when Jay’s verse comes in. Since there is no real hook or good place to mix out, I used the beat but tossed some Lil Jon hype over it and turned it into a party break.

Yessss….another Thursday (or you could say early Friday)….and that means another EXCLUSIVE edit at Remix Report! Today we present an edit of a DOPE new remix by CrooklynClan.net’s DJ X-MIND. This is the Candle Light Remix to Jason Derulo’s latest smash, “In My Head”. X-MIND actually took advantage of his musical background and played the piano on this!! It took him a couple hours to record, but as you will see, his hard work definitely paid off!! This is my own personal edit of X-MIND’s mix, where I just added a mixable intro. The song comes in at 115 BPM and transitions to 128. I feel like this track would really be good towards the end of the night.
